According to the European Commission, the new guidelines are designed to assist organisations in meeting their obligations under the AI Act. These requirements are scheduled to come into force on 2 August 2026. The guidance aims to provide clarity for both providers and deployers of artificial intelligence systems as they prepare for the implementation of the new regulatory framework.
The publication was announced in Brussels on 20 July 2026. The European Commission stated that these resources are intended to support stakeholders in navigating the transition to the new transparency standards mandated by the legislation.
