The European Commission has approved a €52 million, or approximately RON 277 million, Romanian state aid scheme designed to support cattle farmers who are facing increased prices for fuel and fertiliser. According to the European Commission, the financial pressures on agricultural producers are a direct result of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
The support package aims to alleviate the economic difficulties experienced by cattle farmers in Romania as they struggle with rising operational costs.
