Liquefied natural gas exporters in the Gulf are actively seeking ways around the ongoing disruption in the Strait of Hormuz, according to a recent report by Euronews. Six months into the blockade, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have tested alternative methods to keep their energy supplies moving to international markets.
As part of these efforts, three Gulf cargoes have recently been moved using ship-to-ship transfers. Despite these logistical tests, overall LNG exports from both Qatar and the UAE remain far below their pre-war levels, highlighting the persistent challenges facing regional trade routes since the blockade began.
